Will there be a NJ anchor payment in 2024?
The first batch of NJ ANCHOR rebate payments in 2024 started being delivered on January 2, 2024. If you haven't received your amount by January 12, 2024, then you need to contact the Division of Taxation.
Our proposed budget will once again lower costs for middle- and working-class families — as well as seniors — by providing another round of historic tax relief. That includes the single-largest property tax relief program in our history: The ANCHOR Program.
Do I have to apply for the current benefit? If you receive an ANCHOR Benefit Confirmation Letter and all of the information contained in the letter is correct, you do not have to file an application for the current benefit. We will file an application on your behalf based on your previously filed application.
ANCHOR has no age restrictions. Under Murphy's budget proposal, the program would pay eligible homeowners in the state up to $1,500 and $450 to qualifying renters, plus an added bonus of $250 for both senior renters and homeowners, for the 2021 benefit year.

The $1500 stimulus check for eligible New Jersey residents will be distributed on January 10, 2024. New Jersey has initiated the ANCHOR Tax Relief Program, providing a one-time $1500 stimulus check to eligible homeowners and a $450 benefit for qualifying renters.
It's not too late to apply for the 2020 tax year. The state has given residents plenty of time to file. The deadline is Friday, Dec. 29, 2023.
The dollar amount of the benefits will be carried over from the original ANCHOR program: NJ homeowners with income of $150,000 or less will receive $1,500. NJ homeowners with income of more than $150,000 and up to $250,000 will receive $1,000. Residential renters with income of $150,000 or less will receive $450.
Payments will continue to be issued on a rolling basis. Most applicants can expect to receive their payment approximately 90 days after filing the application, unless we request additional information to process your claim. Check the status of your benefit.
You are eligible for an ANCHOR benefit based on 2020 residency, income, and age, if you met these requirements: You were a New Jersey resident; and. Your 2020 New Jersey gross income was not more than $150,000; and. Your name was on the lease or rental agreement; and.
